Overpriced. The meat quality was good for the few little bites you get. For a party of 6 they served us a tiny plate of secondary dishes, the same amount as for 2 people and they charge $6 to fill the Kimchi again. I'm sorry not to go back.

After months of salivating over the pictures of the wagyu-tiered special, I finally got to try Tamaen Japanese BBQ for the first time and it was definitely worth the wait. I came on a Sunday right when they opened for lunch and was seated right away without needing reservations. We opted for the American Wagyu Set which was $170 for the following: high-quality outside skirt, ribeye, short rib, cube cut ribeye, salted tongue, wagyu ribcap, and A5 Japanese wagyu ribeye. Each piece was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was also served with some salad and pickled side dishes. They charged for rice and for a refill of the salad. Not enough food to satisfy two small girls, so we had to order an extra dish. Overall very pricey but so very worth it for those special occasions. Parking is easy as it is located inside a plaza.

Nice quaint place for a Jbbq dinner. Came here with my family sunday night and very much enjoyed the food and service. We had the celebrity set and an extra order of dry aged wagyu. Everything was mouth watering good, will definetly come back again. If you are looking for an upscale bbq and are tired of the cheap meats at other places, this is the place for you.
