At first, I thought it might have belonged to me or my partner, but when I reached for it, I realized it was stuck inside the roll. This was my first time using DoorDash for food delivery, and I probably won’t order from this place again.
This place was absolutely fantastic! I visited on the Saturday before my birthday and was seated right away. Our food arrived quickly, and everything looked exquisite and fresh! I especially appreciated the variety of rolls that didn't contain shrimp tempura. We enjoyed a Sapporo to complement our meal. It was delicious! I can't wait to return! As for parking, there's a large lot with plenty of spaces, making it very convenient.
Then, one of my co-workers noticed she had been overcharged. The owner claimed it was a system error and asked to speak to her. He explained that the prices had changed a few months ago but expected her to accept the new prices, even though he had given us the old menu with the previous prices displayed. He later adjusted her bill, but I checked my receipt and realized I had been overcharged too. At that point, his attitude worsened. He questioned whether I wanted a refund and insisted that the price was different, but I had not been confrontational at all; I just didn't appreciate being misled about the charges. He threw a bit of a tantrum, and one of my co-workers intervened, saying that his behavior was unacceptable. We stepped outside to wait for our food, which he said would take about 15 minutes. While we were waiting, I could hear him yelling inside the restaurant, clearly agitated about us. When my co-worker finally went back in, we discovered that our food had been sitting by the entrance the entire time. The owner became angry again when she told him he needed to take responsibility and treat customers with respect. He even put his hand near her face and told her to leave. In hindsight, we should have just left and asked for a refund, which we all regretted not doing. Given the pricing and the quality of food we received, it wasn't worth it at all. The service was terrible, and the pricing felt deceptive. I wonder how many other customers have been misled without realizing it—please check your receipts against the menu prices. I cannot recommend this restaurant; while the food itself wasn't bad, for the prices they charge, you'd be better off dining elsewhere.

After asking about the discrepancy, he informed me that his system applies a certain percentage for pricing, which made it seem like he was overcharging us. As I pressed for clarity, he became agitated and began to yell at us, claiming he had given us the wrong menus. He explained that the prices on the to-go menus hadn’t been updated in six months. I felt thoroughly disrespected and uncomfortable due to an error that was clearly his responsibility. He snatched the menus from us and shouted, frustrated that we asked for the correct change based on the prices we were initially shown. I understand that everyone has off days, but raising your voice in your own establishment over a pricing issue of your own making is simply unprofessional and disrespectful. Because of this experience and the lack of accountability on his part, I will never return to this restaurant; I also cannot recommend it to my colleagues or anyone else. The owner needs to seriously work on their customer service and respect for clients. It's worth noting that we did accept the food after all of this, but in hindsight, I should have returned it and left right after that initial encounter.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Don't be deceived by the location. I ordered the sushi combo, which includes six types of fish, along with a choice of spicy tuna or California roll, and it comes with a fresh salad and miso soup.
