San Miguel Pupuseria - Gardena

Service: Extremely disappointing. The staff lacks basic customer service skills; they don’t smile and fail to make eye contact when speaking with you. Waiting for assistance takes forever, and the food takes a long time to arrive as well. The only reason I return is because it’s conveniently located near my home and the food is tasty. However, the owner really needs to provide some customer service training for the employees.

As for the food, I ordered fried chicken for my son, but it was awful. The chicken was overcooked and nearly all bone, with hardly any meat on it. It felt like we were served leftovers from another order. This place used to be decent, but it has really declined. Given the amount I spent, I would much prefer to go to another restaurant where both the service and food are good. I certainly won't be returning to this place, which feels like it's ripping people off.

This restaurant has the best pupusas in town. We visited on a Monday, and by 11 am, it was already bustling with customers. I highly recommend the mixed pupusas and the queso con loroco—they're absolutely delicious. I also really enjoy their plantains served with black beans and Salvadoran sour cream. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

My father loves their sopa de camarones con huevo. The pupusas are delicious. I definitely would refer if you're looking for a good Salvadorian place to eat!!

First time trying this place because the pupuseria I use to go to in Hawthorne Blvd closed down. When I walked in the place I was surprised to see how clean and lively it was. The 2 big screens playing the game was a nice touch and the person taking myorder was friendly too, and the food let me tell you...WOW! It hit the spot. I got 5 pupusas, 2 revuelta and queso and it wasdelicious! Some pupusas at some places will get stingy with the stuff inside but these were packed and full of flavor! Muchbetter than the other place I use to go to, I'm glad I found a new spot! Will definitely come back again!
