La Beau's - Garden City

They charge for a glass of water at this restaurant. It is the only place I have been to that does not offer complimentary water.

I love to relax with a classic soda fountain experience by sitting by the windows, enjoying the shade and sipping on a shake. This restaurant is known for their traditional burgers and french fries, but I suggest trying a hot sandwich. While the prices may be a little higher, the quality is worth it. The tater tots and fries are perfectly crispy, and the shakes are rich and thick. Just a heads up, the shakes are made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, not chocolate ice cream.

A friend recommended this restaurant and said it must be good because of the portion sizes. He was right. The burgers, sandwiches, and shakes were all delicious. The portion sizes were generous and the quality met our expectations. We may have ordered too much food and were too full to fully enjoy the shakes. This was my first experience in the raspberry shake wars, and I will definitely be back to try some of the other top raspberry shakes in the city.

Ok, this place was most recommended to me from anyone outside the garden city or cache area. Maybe it was a bit overhyped and that's why I was disappointed. my man and I have shaken. a heavenly and a peanut butter cup. they called our names in the window and while my man was up there, asked him to wait a moment when they were actually finished mixing the shaking. that was in order and it didn't take long, but when they passed him, they were already super melted. the taste was good, but we felt as if we had to finish them quickly, as they were already halfway liquid, so we could not really enjoy it. on my rankings of almost every shaker place in the city was la beau’s 4th or 5. I would give them another shot as I am a lot in the city, but they are not my first choice.

Had the banana cream pie shake and it was everything a milkshake should be. Thick, flavorful and delicious. Burger was plain and fries are pretty good. Also, got a jar of Chad's Bear Lake Raspberry Jam and wish I got a few more yummy
