Cafe Sabor - Garden City

The service at this restaurant was exceptional and the food was delicious.

The food was decent and our server was friendly, but she seemed quite busy during our meal. We were dining with a group and were not made aware that there would be an automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill. For that price, we expected at least to have our water refilled without having to ask, especially at a Mexican restaurant.

The service was incredibly slow. The portions were smaller than those at Island Park Sabor, but the prices were comparable. The restaurant was smaller and seemed disorganized. The wait for our food was disappointingly long. Island Park is definitely a better option for dining.

Plating is important, and I just didn't really see the initiative in that area. It's a five star family restaurant, and a three star overall

Top-notch service! we came with a party of 25 and were sitting fast. beverage orders were made within minutes, followed by our food order. eating came out within 15 minutes and with a group of 25 is impressive. Eating was her typical Mexican eating, but the service we received has increased this review to 5 stars!
