Hometown Drive In - Garden City

We normally are next for and they recently closed so we are here and we're happily surprised! The onion rings at made with amazing bater, light, and crispy. The service was quick and friendly. There are lots of tables outside to eat, and the restroom is a nice separate room attached to the building. The raspberry shakes are delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything here.

Saw a long line on a Sunday, which lasted several hours, so I thought it must be amazing. The next day is hardly a line, so we go to the world famous raspberry shake. I'm not sure why world famous. It was ok, nothing extraordinary, and we got 2, and they had different mixtures. Mine was a little tart while my wife's a better balance of sweetness. They were friendly and the location is great with views of the lake. Fries were ok, and onion rings cooked well. Value was decent, not expensive, and for what I received, it was priced right. I will say that shakes are something you can use a straw to drink. These were thick and served with a spoon. Much closer to soft serve ice cream. It was smooth and blended well.

Friendly service and good shakes. Get the small, its huge.

Always enjoy stopping here very good bacon cheeseburger tater tots and the raspberry shake is awesome! Highly recommended!

Be prepared for the shakes...they are not shakes. You cannot drink them. They are that thick and come out higher than the cup. It was good, just expecting a drinkable milkshake. I also got a corn dog which was pretty good.
