Campfire Grill - Garden City

The Idaho trout and wagyu beef were good. Dinner was $90 for two people with no appetizer or drinks. The hostess was unfriendly. When I booked the reservation, I specifically requested a table, not a high top because I recently had major foot surgery and sitting at the high top would be painful. Upon arrival, the hostess wanted to seat us at a high top. I explained the request when I made the reservation and why. The hostess asked a waitstaff what she should do. The waitstaff directed the hostess to tell me that I would need to remain at the high top because they were completely booked. I explained again that I would not be able to sit at a high top. Without any communication and 5 minutes later, I was directed to a table. There remained a minimum of 40 open seats the duration of our reservation. It is NOT worth the money.

Under staffed no front of house and servers were host/waiters/bartenders. It took a long time to get drinks and order. Many menu items were unavailable because the chef was not there and he/she was protective of their recipes and does not share them with the sous chefs (according to the very stressed server). Food was good but overpriced for the overall experience.

10/10 would recommend. Highly recommend getting a reservation. They were slinging steaks and pizza like a mad man all evening it looked like.

Waited 20 minutes to just try to get seated with the restaurant 80% empty before giving up. Figured if it took this long for just the opportunity to maybe get seated, it would take even longer to take orders and to cook the food. Maybe they'll be good after they're properly staffed, can't comment on how good the good would have been. Atmosphere seemed nice? So 2 stars, not 1

What a lovely aesthetic and service. I stayed at Conestoga in 202 0 and had to bring my mom back there for her birthday this past week for the Campfire Grille restaurant. Ellie our service was super sweet and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were delicious (and fairly priced). Love going any time we're at Bear Lake.
