Hummingbird Pub Family - Galiano Island

This is our favorite place to go for a family dinner on the island. our server, ruby, took care of us so well. She answered all my mother patiently in asking the law about the menu and she saved the day when they were from veggie burger by writing that I got a bungalow with the falafel. it was delicious! there was another family, and they had an explosion! they must get a new ball for the Foosball game!

What to say? Well, I'm not super thrilled with this place. We gave it two chances (there aren't a lot of choices of restaurants on Galiano Island) and both times the food wasn't that great, I'd have honestly preferred fast food.I would have left a better review except for the fact that my take out bill has a $1.00 irroneous take out charge on it, which is just the Hummingbird being greedy.Based on some other reviews and my experience today I can understand why the business is for sale.

Our visit was off-season and there was only one other party in the pub but a fire was lit in the wood stove to make the area we sat nice and cosy and the service was attentive. The piece of halibut with yam fries was excellent as was the pulled pork burger and salad. We could not have hoped for better and I don't think I have ever had a better meal in a pub.

Fun, eclectic little pub. Kia was our server, excellent service, super friendly and made us feel very welcome!! Danny was the chef and the food was FANTASTIC Can't wait to come back!!!

Cozy neighbourhood pub and one of the few places to grab a bite and a beer on Galiano. Friendly service and a charming interior! Basic pub grub, but still some decent options if you are vegetarian or vegan.
