Kristino's Pizza - Gahanna

This is the best pizza style I've had in the Gahanna area. They use sausage and thicker slices of onion, which really enhances the texture. The crust is thin and crispy, making for a delightful experience. Make sure to eat it while it's hot; the crust can become cool and soggy if you wait too long. I highly recommend trying it right away for the best taste!

I ordered an Italian sub, the well-known Hank Newman salad, garlic bread with cheese, fried pickles, a 7-inch mushroom pizza, and a 14-inch pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, and onions. All of this came to just $46, which I felt was a reasonable price. First off, the Italian sub was delicious—one of the best in the area. The fried pickles were fantastic as well; instead of chips, they served spears, which is a nice twist. It's rare to find fried pickles at pizza places, and these had a nice little kick to them. Next up was the garlic bread with cheese. It was made from halved sub rolls that were roasted and topped with creamy garlic spread and cheese—definitely a hit. Then, I tried the Hank Newman salad. While it had some added ingredients like potatoes, celery, two types of olives, and pepperoni, it was essentially a standard salad. The dressing was decent, but the salad itself was just okay. Moving on to the pizzas, the mushroom variety wasn’t the best, as my wife noted. However, I actually enjoyed the pepperoni, sausage, and onion pizza. I had read other reviews that mentioned the sausage being bland, but I disagree; it was flavorful and well-seasoned. The pepperoni was delicious, and there was a generous amount of toppings—always a plus. If I had to describe the pizza style, I’d say it falls under the classic bar/tavern style typical of Ohio and the Midwest, but with a slightly thinner and crispier crust. There might be a few burnt spots on the pizza due to the type of oven they use, but surprisingly, they added to the flavor. The only downside during my visit was the customer service. When I went in to pick up my order, I stood at the counter for a good five minutes making eye contact with several employees before someone finally acknowledged me. Despite that hiccup, Mr. T's is definitely a great spot for pizza and more. Overall, I would rate it a 4.7, but since Google doesn’t allow decimal ratings, I rounded it off.

Wonderful people making this Gahanna favorite. I do Ketogenic eating and these fit the lifestyle. Top are plain naked and bottom is the Spicy Garlic. I got a small Newman as well. Ya'll gotta get over to Mr. T's for your own. I'm not sharing these beauties. Next time I'm getting a crustless pizza made my way!
