Pilu at Freshwater

Pilu at Freshwater! This was one of my first meals in Sydney when I moved here 3 years ago.

Pilu is overratedIt is beautifully placed at the edge of Freshwater Beach, the atmosphere is nice; placed in a beach side house.

Lovely place for lunch with a viewI had the 7 course degustation and everything was amazing.

The location of this restaurant is fantastic. It has amazing views and given that we chose to be there at lunchtime allowed us to take in the amazing landscape and beauty of Freshwater. The service was fantastic and friendly. The food was delicious and definitely a brand new experience of Sardinian food for us both. The presentation of the food also brings an element of beauty to this place. It loses a point due to the location at which we were placed being right next to a service area and partial obstruction of the view by the corner setting we were in. I do understand we could have asked to move but it was during our entree that the service cupboard became a bother to us at which point was too late to move.

Went there for a birthday lunch mid week and had the 5 course Degustation with matching wines on a sunny winters day. the view, food and service were excellent, with good value for the money paid for the level of service and food provided. A small candle lit cake was even provided at the end of the experience for the birthday person - a nice touch. Multiple attentive staff who were in no hurry to move you on. Will return and definitely recommend.
