Lupita's - Freeport

Wow and wow!! Eat the HUGE Hippo taco yesterday. It was fantastic!!! The migas plate which was also fabulous!! We ate at the restaurant at 6am and the restaurant for pick up was busy. Our food was made to work and amazing!! We will be back.

I can 't speak about anything other than the breakfast taco 's but I can tell you that if the rest of this place 's food is as good as their breakfast taco 's then you are in for a real treat!!! Very clean, very friendly staff, excellent portion sizes for the price.....and the taste is authentic and amazing!! So a few thoughts if you are considering their breakfast taco 's like we were. They are BIG!! I have a big appetite, but was honestly pretty full off of 1. They have some that cost more and are considered breakfast burritos, and they are sized quite a bit larger. We had a mix of their traditional breakfast tacos as well as the breakfast burritos and it was all excellent! Other reviewers mentioned The Hippo which was indeep pretty good. My absolute favorite though was The Chevy . It cost more but The Chevy was worth every penny. Its a meat lover 's dream and was like nothing I have ever eaten for breakfast! I regret forgetting to take a photo of The Chevy as in my opinion it was the star of the breakfast, but I did take photos of some of the others (bacon and egg) and The Hippo. Honestly you can 't go wrong at this place for breakfast with any of the items from what I could tell. They will give you a red salsa that I highly recommend putting on your breakfast tacos burritos. Its a perfect blend of flavors, and complements everything well (not too spicy just right). Their tortillas are also up there with the best I have ever had. Again very nice, clean, easy to get in and out of, and excellent food. I highly recommend if you are in the Freeport Surfside area and in the mood for Mexican food! A

Unreal! Local, fresh, made from scratch. Barbacoa tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend.

I only order the Carne Guisada taco Hippos when I go. Been coming for 20 years. Best homemade tortillas around. The place does need some work inside though. If you can forgive that you will love the food.

Facility was clean, food was great. Tortillas are made fresh, food is made to order.
