Rathskeller - Fredericksburg

How often do you eat in the basement of an old converted hospital? This place is super cool... quaint, romantic, hip... and the food? Let's just say that at the top some of the best cooking utensils available while below, someone knows how to use it. The German sampler board was “Very Good!!!” The staff was very friendly, and a harp for atmosphere. This is a small city restaurant with great time appeal.

Well, I've never eaten anything I don't love to say that breakfast is a must and a fave! Only a great place with unexpected surprises on the menu!

Great place with a relaxed grape variety. But the food is anything but. Well prepared and presented. I recommend the salmon. I will stop at any time when I go through Fredericksburg

We enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere of a cellar restaurant (rarely south of Mason and Dixon line: . Very recommended. It is a bit economical, but makes it with high quality food and excellent service. Only wish is beer on tap unlike just bottles.

We came for breakfast. The coffee was perfect, and I recommend the biscuits and sausage gravy. We also shared and enjoyed the hill country beignets with raspberry jam.
