Groeneweide Farm - Franskraal

Lovely farm setting with plant nursery and restaurant, goats, chickens, geese, cows, etc. You can feed the goats and some of them will come and great u as you are siting on the patio having lunch and the chickens too. Great for an afternoon out with stunning views of the countryside and sea!

The restaurant has good food, but the prices are a bit high. There are many chickens, ducks, lambs, and pigs roaming around. You can buy food for R5 to feed the animals and birds, who are cute and friendly. The nursery has some nice plants, including a Venus fly trap that caught my attention, although it was a bit pricey.

It feels like coming home to grandma and grandpa on the farm. As soon as you arrive on the property, you are welcomed by friendly staff who greet you in your preferred language. The most impressive part is the female waitresses who are learning Afrikaans and teaching us Xhosa!! We will definitely be frequenting this restaurant.

The restaurant is a peaceful and serene place to dine. We enjoyed feeding the chickens and goat, and learning about the animals. The food at the restaurant was also incredibly tasty.

Such a beautiful and peaceful farm with kind and friendly people. My family and especially Baby enjoyed every minute of it. It's a pity they did not cater for Halal food as we would have loved to try it out.
