Shipley Do-nuts - Fountain

Good doughnuts and good kolaches. Not the best parking. Polite staff.

We live near by so we come here often. Today, I stopped at Shipley on my way to other errands since my family really like the donuts here. I realized I forgot to bring my wallet before I went in so I asked a woman at the cashier whether they received ApplyPay (which I could use my phone with). She said ‘yes!’ so I happily ordered everything and she packed them all neatly, then . . we found that the ApplePay didn’t work for some reason. Another woman came out and heard what had happened. And she so generously said “You can take them. They are on me.” I am still very moved by her kindness. We will definitely keep being frequent customers at Shipley for sure!

Donuts were good and haven’t had them in months from Texas. However, this place needs to do something about their prices. One Kolache is $3.24, and if you want half a dozen it’s $22. Well if you do basic math then it should be $19.44 for six, instead of $22. I understand price increases especially since the company is based out of state, but at least do the math correctly instead of overcharging your customers. This place was a nice reminder of home but I probably will not be back because of their prices.

As a Texan and loyal customer this site is by far the worst Shipley I’ve ever experienced. Constantly gets my orders wrong, constantly not having enough inventory, **** poor service and I’ve never received a fresh donut. The owner either needs to get fired or retrain their staff.
