Fixe Southern House - Fort Worth

We kicked off our girls' day at Fixe for brunch, and I must say I absolutely loved this place. Oh my goodness, those biscuits are amazing—I highly recommend them! The atmosphere was great, and our server was delightful. I will definitely be returning very soon to check out the dinner scene!

The only downside of the evening was that our waitress seemed a bit rude and distant. She always appeared to be in a hurry, and on two separate occasions while we were ordering (first appetizers, then drinks), she quickly walked away from the table after one person ordered, without waiting to see if anyone else had additional orders. There were a few awkward moments like this, but overall, it didn’t really spoil our night. The food, drinks, and ambiance more than made up for it. I will definitely be returning!

This was my first visit, so I can't give a perfect score right away. However, if I were judging solely on the biscuits, I'd rate them a 10 out of 5—they're on another level! Honestly, I almost skipped ordering anything else just to enjoy more biscuits. One person in our group ordered the fish, but it didn't taste like authentic southern catfish. The chicken thigh biscuit was decent, although it lacked some toppings, which might have improved it. I had the bacon, eggs, and grits, and that was quite good.

Fixe staff is out of this world!! We came for the biscuits, and left with full hearts. Our waitress overheard we were celebrating the end of the school year (and that it was my first school year as a single mom), and she surprised my daughterwith card signed by the entire staff and a gift card! In the world we live in today, we forget how kind humans can be to eachother. Fixe will forever have our patronage. And the food drinks were delicious!

It 's a lovely place with great ambiance and the service was great. Unfortunately the food let me down. I ordered the fried chicken, which is apparently their most popular entrée. The plate consisted of two chicken thighs, which were just on thewrong side being overcooked, with a kale salad. While the chicken wasn 't bad, for $20 I was expecting more. My wife 's shrimpand grits, again were just short of the mark. I did enjoy The Vegetarian that my daughter ordered and the biscuits.
