Edohana Hibachi Sushi - Fort Worth

I had a reservation for 6:30, and the restaurant was quite busy. We were finally seated at 6:45, but the staff was very attentive during our wait. The sushi and sashimi I ordered were both good. We sat at the grilling station, where our chef was enthusiastic and entertaining. The grilled food was delicious. I gave it 4 stars mainly because of the wait time.

This was our first time coming to this place we only stayed because of morality (we ate the salad and soup). The service took forever!!!!! It seems that we have just been sitting here waiting and the longer we sat the more we noticed how absolutely disgusting this place is. It is so dirty i was grossed out to even eat my food. There is leftover food in every crack and crevice of this place god knows when the last time they cleaned this place. Literally asked for to go boxes because we did not eat at all and threw it all out as soon as we walked out. The place is so greasy the walls and floors were literally covered in old grease. The prep cart at the kitchen entry was absolutely trashed. When the cook walked out the noodles were draped all over the place and when he cooked the rice he literately drenched the already soaking rice (god knows what the liquid was that came out of the rice) the rice was so gloopy and greasy. The chef was so sloppy he literally flung food all over the place he burned my hand and the leg of the kid across from us. I can go on but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Where is the health department?

They stay slammed here, but quite frankly do a great job at managing the crowds. It's not my favorite local hibachi spot, but it's definitely worthy.

The rice was wonderfully flavored, crispy, and succulent, perfectly complementing the steak and shrimp we ordered for the hibachi. I think next time, I'll probably stick with just the steak. The vegetables and noodles were also delicious. The soup and salad that accompanied the hibachi meal were excellent; I had the chicken soup, which my husband enjoyed as well, even though he ordered the miso. He loved the salad dressing so much that he asked our waitress for extra! Our server, Emmarie, was fantastic, and our chef, Win, had a great personality and provided excellent service. We even enjoyed two bottles of wine during our meal. We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to return and indulge again!

The portions were generous, and we appreciated that! However, the seating in the hibachi area felt cramped, with barely any space between us. I’m left-handed, and my sister-in-law, who was next to me, is right-handed, which made things a bit awkward. The cleanliness could use some improvement. Despite these issues, we had a fun birthday celebration, especially when they brought out the ice cream with a drum performance. I’d rate them 3.5 stars if I could give half ratings, and I might consider giving them another chance.
