It is honestly sad the quality and service that has changed with the new property. I'm from New York and looking forward to her bagel sandwich on the weekend. Now they call customers the guy with the cowboy hat, the couple, this person there and their almost insulting. Your customers should mean the world for you. You are what makes your company successful or not. You do not even take tickets to ensure that name and correct order is made, therefore not with any name. When we waited for our sandwiches to be made because they ran out cooked eggs on Sunday, the thin lady robed behind the counter loudly and didn't even care about me or said excuse me. They all work on not nurturing, it seems and could not really care if you were there. The owner woman has the same attitude. Only walks to do their thing, versus make their customers feel welcome and happy to see them. It is sad to see all these reviews as the quality has changed. As a business owner, I see the possibility of opening a Bagel shop and offering the amazing quality and service I do with my other shops and blowing them out of the water. This business must remember that they are not the only ones that can lead a Bagel place and people of 20 years who come to this place can and will stop. It's time for you to make it better or close it. Such a shame.
Very good bagels and sandwiches! We're coming back! *Update* we returned twice since I left this review. The service was very bad, the employees seemed like they didn't want to be there or help us. The bagels were okay, but the building looks on the inside. When we went for the first time, we thought they had made some change, but nothing changed. Messy, sloppy and dirty look. Also one of the ladies behind the counter left an audible burp while we waited for our food, did not even say apology. We are not a prude of ANY, but that seemed so unprofessional for the food industry. Probably not be back unless they change. disappointment because we love to support small businesses, but no one here seems to take any pride in this business.
I'm a founder client of Boopa's ever opened since Holly and Lisa over 20 years ago, and was spoiled by their excellent quality, service and personal attention to every customer. I don't like to say bad things or give bad reviews, but I'm very disappointed in recent months with the quality of food and service. It seems that the new owners are struggling to train replacement staff and changing the recipes that put Boopa on the map...likewise, I feel that we lose a wonderful neighborhood brand.
Definitely one of the best hidden gems in Fort Worth. Top notch bagels, boiled and baked. Generous spreads and the egg sandwiches are amazing, but the best offering has to be the bagel wrapped kolaches. Several flavors that sell out fast, but are a must if they have them in store when you get there! Also, the staff is incredible and a joy to chat with in the morning, and most are a consistent group, meaning they are treated well here!
