I started eating Pho a few years ago in Massachusetts prior to moving to Florida,I really thought i had I’ve always had pretty damn good Pho then and hadn’t honestly ever thought about how much better it could get.Seeing as Florida typically doesn’t have really any food that’s better than what I'm use to in Massachusetts/Boston but to my surprise the Pho here at Pho 99 is hands down the best I’ve ever had.(I get my steak on the side to add to the broth myself so it doesn’t overcook by the time it gets to me)
I think I can confidently say between this place and the other pho places in town that I've eaten, this one is probably my favorite based strictly on the following few things. The register and wait staff can speak and understand communicable english. The issue I've ran into some other places is my order gets taken wrong multiple times and I'm met with insincerity when I complain. Oxtail Pho. I don't find Oxtail pho at a lot of places. Prices aren't too bad. They kind of went up like every other place, but it wasn't an astronomical jump like other places. Everything on their menu tastes great. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu short of being allergic or just flat out hating something on the dish you order. I've never had a flavor or felt there was a lack thereof for any of the dishes I've ever ordered there.
Ah, Pho 99! That's my second favorite Vietnamese food spot in Lee County, but it's the closest one to my work. It's like having a secret crush that lives next door that is out of town so you settle for her still attractive but not as attractive sister convenient but also a bit dangerous. The temptation to indulge in their delicious pho bowls and crispy spring rolls is always there, lurking around the corner of my lunch break. The first time I tried Pho 99, I was blown away by the flavors and aromas. It was like a party in your mouth, and everyone was invited even those picky taste buds that usually stay home. The broth was so savory and comforting that I wanted to take a bath in it (don't worry, I didn't). The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat was tender and juicy. I felt like a Vietnamese grandma had cooked for me with love and care. Now, every time I go to Pho 99, I feel like I'm cheating on my other favorite Vietnamese restaurant. It's like being in a polyamorous relationship with food and without them knowing about each other. But hey, who am I to judge? As long as my taste buds are happy, I'm happy. In conclusion, if you're looking for a tasty and convenient Vietnamese food spot, Pho 99 is your go to place. Just don't tell your other favorite restaurant about it they might get jealous.
Crazy good pho! Giant portions at reasonable prices, and the ingredients are all very fresh.
