Kumo Japanese Steak House - Fort Myers

Be careful! This restaurant will add a 18% size to your bill regardless of size of your party. The manager says this is printed on the menu. What IS says on the menu (in the smallest possible font and with light-colored print) is that the restaurant reserves the right to add a congratulation. It does not prohibit the percentage it will add. This is a deceptive practice. I usually tilt 20%, and was about to do exactly that when I noticed that the 18% add on. I can't imagine this practice repeating it. The food was standard Hibachi tariff.

I enjoy a good Japanese habachi dinner. The food was tasty and we'll prepared by our chef. Our server was polite but distant. My only issue that was not to my liking was that they do not offer a mustard sauce (for steak and chicken dipping) to go along with the ginger sauce (for vegetables and seafood dipping). They only offer a YUM YUM sauce which is a poor substitute for the mustard sauce. For me it was s great disappointment. Sorry.

They open Monday-Thursday at 5pm Kitchen closes at 9:30. I think it's nice around 5pm. It's not to busy. Me and my daughter ordered 6 of their sushi rolls and surprisingly the ? roll was by far the best. Went thire for hibachi and the food was fresh and well sessiond. They did not cut corners on quality. Buy far one of my favorite places for sushi.

It was a great experience, sadly they dont get 5 starts because even though we had a reservation they made us wait an hour and 30 minutes more for our table, the hosts in charge of the sitting are not friendly , but everyone else past the kitchen did fantasic, great portions and delicious food, would recommend if you are patient. They also have the gratuity already added, so be mindful of that.
