Ichiban Japanese Chinese Cuisine

I always have a great experience at this restaurant and love the friendly staff. Whether you dine in or take out, it's always a good choice. The Volcano Eruption is a must-try dish, and the Caterpillar Roll is also fantastic. Normally I'm hesitant to order crab rangoon because it can be bland at many places, but here it was delicious - crispy, fresh, and you can really taste the crab.

Having lived in various locations around the country for work and traveled extensively, I have come to the realization that Chinese food outside of New York City is generally disappointing. However, Ichiban in downtown Fort Myers is a rare gem that rivals or even surpasses my favorite Chinese restaurants back home. I frequent this restaurant with my mother on a weekly basis and we always start with the amazing egg drop soup. Every dish on the menu has been consistently delicious. During a recent lunch visit, I arrived hungry and craving egg foo young, which wasn't on the lunch menu. The waitress kindly offered to make it for me and I was blown away by the huge plate of three thick and satisfying egg foo young patties. It may very well be the best egg foo young I have ever had in the country.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the downtown area. The only thing it's missing is hibachi tables. I would love to see them expand and offer hibachi-style dining.

Mini was an excellent server who was always attentive to our needs. The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming.

This family restaurant is very pleasant and always makes you feel comfortable.
