The chicken tenders and ravioli both tasted as if they had been fried in old oil; they were very dark and overcooked. The fried ravioli on the menu shows seven pieces with marinara sauce, but we received only five ravioli and no marinara at all. The caprese sandwich was bland and soggy, and the upgraded side of parmesan spaghetti squash was simply plain spaghetti squash—there wasn’t even a hint of Parmesan to be found. We tried adding protein to some dishes, including salmon (which was also overcooked) and meatballs with the ravioli. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough sauce for the ravioli, so if you enjoy dry meatballs, you’ll be pleased. When your kids don’t even enjoy the chicken tenders, that’s telling. The only dish we all liked was the gnocchi with pesto. We had heard good things about this place, but I highly recommend saving your money. Olive Garden and even Fazoli’s far outperform this restaurant.
I’ve attached a photo comparing what was advertised to what I actually received. I’m struggling to feel satisfied with just 2.5 ounces of chicken (literally), which was breaded and fried, especially considering it cost $15. I did appreciate that they honored my request for sauce on the side, so I’m giving an extra star for that. Also, my gnocchi was toasted…??? Overall, the meal I received definitely didn’t feel worth the nearly $100 I spent. I took a chance, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. I won't be ordering again.
FYI this is not a restaurant. It's a kitchen inside Simmers. There are no signs to help you figure this out. A strange set up. My food was very good, my husband's not so much His was carbonara which doesn't travel well and it's all take out.
Time and time again roccos has come through, always a pleasant experience!
