I come every year from london to visit my sister in forest hills, and we always make a point when we eat at least once during each of my travels there. it has become my place in new york for Japanese eating! While it is mainly takeout, there are also a few rooms for a sit-down menu. the menu also has vegetarian and a few vegan-sounding options.
For a sushi lover it’s a great place to be. You get a great variety of vegetarian sushi. Just loved it.
Lunch prior to a doctor appointment in my former neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens leaves me a mere 20 minutes for deciding the type of food, location, ordering, consumption, and walking to my destination. I have been attempting to give Sushi Time the o' college try for sometime and now I can understand the high reviews as opposed to their direct competitor, Sushi Yasu. I purchased their prepared packaged meal of sushi and sashimi from their open refrigerator counter for $10.95. I decided to dine-in and was immediately offered a complimentary traditional hot Japanese green tea. Of course, I'll accept it as it is served as loose tea leaves rather than mass produced tea bag. Space is small but there is a sushi bar counter. Food is fresh and staff are attentive and welcoming. Sushi Time offers more options for rolls and medley of sushi and sashimi. Takeout menu is available for grabs.
The food at Sushi Time is consistently fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying, all at a reasonable price. Whenever I visit my sister in Forest Hills from London, we make sure to dine at Sushi Time at least once during my trip. It has quickly become my favorite spot in New York for Japanese cuisine. While primarily for takeout, there are also a few tables available for dining in. The menu offers vegetarian and vegan-friendly options as well.
I absolutely adore this restaurant for its exceptional service and delicious food. It is truly the best!
