Player's Pub - Forest Grove

As newcomers to the area, we decided to check out this restaurant after seeing an advertisement. The bartender, G, was fantastic—she really knows how to craft a well-balanced cocktail. Not too strong, yet definitely worth the price. The food was also excellent; we enjoyed the fresh potato chips, the pub burger, and the wings. Everything was fresh and incredibly delicious. They even offer happy hour discounts! We will certainly be returning. It’s refreshing to find a spot that isn’t a dive but rather a great place to unwind and enjoy good food. The menu focuses on pub fare, mostly fried items, though I did notice someone with a really appealing salad. Being a sports bar, you can expect to catch a game while you’re there. See you soon! Lol

I’m sorry to say I have to rate Player's Pub with just one star. During my visit, I witnessed an elderly man in the back room near the slot machines in a very inappropriate situation. I quickly left the establishment after that. I genuinely enjoy this place, but that experience was completely unacceptable. The odor was also quite unpleasant. I'm not sure how many people were aware of what was happening, but I hope someone addressed it.

We were searching for a casual spot for a group of 20 to catch the duck game, and I'm glad we chose this place. I called ahead, and they were all set for us when we got there. The bartender was fantastic—funny and attentive!

Worst service ever. Don't even deserve the one star. My group (of 8) sat down at 10:00. Waitress came over to take our initial drink order and then never came back to our table until last call (midnight). When asked about this her excuse was that it was really busy. But, she managed to see every other table at least once and to take quite a few smoke breaks. I will never be back.

Star tally for Player's: Least shady bar in FoGro! Easy access to Godfather's Pizza plus chicken strips, breadsticks, burgers, etc next door. Random sports specials: got a pint of beer, a personal pizza, and I got to keep the glass for only 9 bucks! Always a good time here never had a negative encounter with the bartenders or heard any complaints from friends. Remember, back in the day, all the peanuts scattered around the bar? I miss that... minus a star :
