Addis Cafe & Restaurant - Footscray

I was looking for a good cupa and a bit of breky. I stumbled on this place. I imagine the clean cut gentleman with warm eyes and smile is the business owner. I could see a coffee roaster in the back of the shop where they roasts their own coffee. I ordered long black and ham cheese croissant toasted. The coffee was off the hook!

For a customer who has been going to this place for the last two years and being very friendly to staff, today the customer service we received was absolutely appalling. Usually, the customer service is quite slow at this cafe however have been patient for the last 2 years giving consideration to the fact that its a family running the show. The cafe owner was extremely rude and perhaps was having a bad day and decided to take it out on us, we aren't sure as he spoke to us very rudely. Businesses should know how to treat their customers specially those who have been giving them business for years. Totally disappointed and will not be going back here again.

This is one of my favourite cafe's in Melbourne. The menu is simple, affordable and the food is delicious. My favourite is the rice and lentil curry which is light, warming and with just the right amount of spiciness. The coffee is excellent; the short blacks are among the best around. The owner has recently bought a modern roaster and it sits in the cafe with customers and roasts a range of coffees that you can purchase to take home. This places is a gem
