In a short weekend getaway we decided to go to dinner at our second night, because we wanted to try everything. Night 1 (Remember that their menu often changes): Meatball appetizer, French onion soup and the Yucatan chicken. We wanted to try the meat cake, but they were out. It's an entire scratch kitchen and a small operation, while we were disappointed, we weren't upset. We shared everything and two cocktails, a French boulevard and a rum cocktail. Usually we don't order chicken eaters because we see they tend to be simple and boring. But for what reason we were fascinated here. Everything was fantastic, nothing would change! We ordered the perfect amount of food. Night 2: We decided that we wanted to try REALLY the meat cake after we had so much experience the night before, so we went back in. We shared that, plus the gouda and spinach gratin Dip and the green chili pork stew. Again, everything was fantastic and needed no adjustments. If I had to get a favorite dish, it would be either the French onion soup or the bathroom so simple dishes, but exceptionally well made! We also had the apple strudel dessert, and unstoppable, it was just one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. In the second night we sat in the small back half private room. After a time a large group came in and we were pleasantly surprised to find out later, there were the owners, Johnny and Lisa, and their family from the city. At the end of our meal, Johnny came by and told us everything about the restaurant and the motel they own on site. We always love to meet the owners so that this was a nice treat! Other comments: Service is fantastic, and they have an eclectic but very impressive bar menu. The menu contains some incredibly hard to find beer, and the cocktails contain unusual ingredients from all over the world. I could see that the prices for a college city are a bit high, but for anyone coming out of town, you won't even hit an eye. Go!
Excellent service and a wonderful environment. This restaurant is cozy and the owners ensure that everyone is served and supervised. The food is great and surprisingly cheap, I recommend the Sangria.
The Nomads Global Lounge has the best food, atmosphere and friendly staff in all flagship! When I went into the door, I felt like I was in the comfort of a warm house with friends. The two owners John and Lisa are the nicest people and really went the extra mile to create a warm and cozy ambience. There are so many beautiful details to admire, from the Egyptian door buttons to one of a kind of stone lamps. But what I really am here to rave over is the unique and mouth water menu! We had the Smoky Gouda cheese spinach dip, the Hara Bhara salmon cake and lavender cream brulee it was all delicious!!! I would highly recommend Nomad's Global Lounge and I will definitely be more!
Food is amazing. Try everything here, it's great. It is a small and cozy place that does not feel like a restaurant. You can have a drink at the bar, a table or enjoy your meal on a couch at the fire. I recommend sharing a smorgasbord with a friend and tasting some flavors. It includes entries, 2 pages and desert. The food is moderately expensive. The meat cake and elephants, where delicious.
Sensational food and craft beer in a cozy place. Be sure to get a reservation for the weekend because they fill up fast. The serving sizes are perfect and the dark chocolate bon bons are the perfect dessert. The white chocolate beer was just fantastic.
