Chef baker, husband wife, originally from France long time locals, Nadia Laurent transport us with their authentic French food delicious coffee and tea. Their outfacing tables transport me to France, sitting watching the locals go by while sipping nibbling on delicious patisserie. They often sell out of most of their yummies goodies! Hubby’s staples are fresh bread loaf fruit tart favourites are the eclairs, closely followed by the ‘match stick’! Mine is the apple turnover, light flaky pastry wrapped around luscious juicy filling, the savoury pies, the pear tart, tart citron ... but honestly we love everything! There is always something special for seasonal celebrations: Gingerbread houses (assembled kits) at Christmas, Biscuits at Mother's Day, magical chocolate Easter Eggs, this year there was a Giant on display. LOVED the take home dinners during lockdown! There was something for every night of the week! Madam Nadia kindly lets me practise my french for my brief visit I am transported
Quintessential French Patisserie will take your tastebuds back to France..Authentic, charming with coffee tables outside and you may almost think see the River Seine in front of you!
Real French delicious patisseries made by French baker, fine buttery pastry, tartes au citron not too sweet just perfect like in France. Patisseries were $5 each.
The best bakery in Sydney. Always fresh and delicious. Not overly sweet, just right. She now makes bread as well, and it’s great. All of the cakes are fantastic. The apple turnover is perfect for breakfast. And considering you’re in Rose Bay, the prices are pretty reasonable.
Nadia and Laurent make this place so special. Very traditional French cafe and the cakes are AMAZING. Seriously the best cakes I’ve had in Sydney.
