Istanbul Kebab - Farrar

I can’t give this place anything less than 5 stars—I'd give it 10 if I could! It has the best food in Darwin, whether you're finishing up a night out or just stopping in. The food is amazing, and the staff are incredibly patient with all the guests that come through. A big thank you to the wonderful staff! I'm eagerly anticipating my Lamb Kebab as I wait in line and watching one staff member handle a busy crowd with such kindness. If you find yourself on Mitchell St, you absolutely must try a kebab or the cheesy chips and gravy—or even better, get both!

I have never experienced such rudeness from a server in my life. When I received my order, which was a box of chicken and lamb, I pointed out that I had actually ordered a chicken and lamb kebab. The server reacted aggressively, insisting that I did not say "kebab." It was quite noisy in the restaurant, so I suggested that there might have been a misunderstanding and that he simply didn’t hear me correctly, but he continued to assert that I didn’t say kebab. The situation escalated to the point that a man sitting behind me commented on how loudly the server was yelling at me. Although the food was good, the rude and aggressive service left a negative impression.

The wait time for food is quite lengthy, and the waiting area is small. On the plus side, the prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous.

Disappointing experience! I can't support a place that holds such views. It's important to acknowledge the community and history of this land.

The customer service was lacking, the food quality was disappointing, and the owners exhibited extremely racist behavior.
