La Pasion Cantina Y Mexicano - Erlangen

I 've eaten here twice so far and fully expect to be back again. The food is very good and has a pretty authentic Mexican flare (it even earned a reserved Pass from my Mexican friend : Cocktails are great too, and the service is friendly and efficient. I do notice that older reviews were rather mediocre, but the most recent of those seems to be from ~2020. Presumably the ownership management has changed since then? Whatever the case, I do think that this restaurant deserves a much better rating than it currently has; I would even go as far as calling it a Hidden Gem.

The food we ordered last night was really horrible The baked patatto with chicken was undercooked and the tapas pollo picante was more of a tortilla filling with more corn and beans, then (hot) chicken in it. But the worse had still to come. The albondigas small meat balls where still frozen in the middle so after try eating them, pulling it back out of my mouth and placed it next to the tub with still one meatball in it on the plate, And send it back to the kitchen After 5 minutes I’ve got it back heated up out of the microwave with one meatball still In takt and the rest of my spit out meatball next to it covered up by jalapeños hahaha how disgusting and sad at the same time This time I did send it back for good, telling I’m not going to pay for it with the rest of the feedback about the bad quality of the food to the floor manager The best she could do was offering us shots, no thanks! Still had to drive and not the best compensation after all this bad food. And guess what was on the bill? So I will never eating here again and I will recommend no one to eat here unless you don’t like good, tasty and fresh food

For a Saturday evening, there were tables available aplenty. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Since we reached during the Happy Hours time, we ordered Margarita and Mojito’s. We also ordered Tacos , Quesadilla and Chicken wings for the main course. Although the drinks were good, the food was ordinary. The food just did not have any taste which is worth a mention. Would go for the drinks but not the food.

Come to the student day for years because the atmosphere is great and the cocktails just taste!
