Fischkuche Nutzel - Erlangen

We had the deepfried Karpe and it was delicious! The side orders we had were potato salad and a small side salad in vinegar. To drink we had the Erlangen beer, Stork. Very good beer! The service was quick and friendly. We arrived at 19:00 and had booked in advance and when we arrived, the place was packed! Almost overcrowded and several guests were waiting. Many were upset as they had reserved and had to leave as the restaurant seemed to have overbooked. At our reserved table, the people prior to us were still sitting there and had to be kicked out. It was a bit crazy, but they seem to get continued business due to the food. My recommendation would be to book and plan to eat either earlier og after 19:00. The interior looked like a traditional 1970's German taverna and the food was really good. So all in all, I'd recommend it and come back myself.

The Restaurant is specialized in fresh regional fishes. I was there several times and was always good. When the place is full, it takes some waiting time

As per my opinion Nützel is the best franconian fish restaurant in Erlangen. Definitely I recomend to taste pepper carp. The price is ok, so you need 40 € for 2 persons for dinner consisting of carp and local beer (Steinbachbräu). Must visit place!

First visit even though I've lived in this area for 18 years, my group all had carp which was delicious something different to experience. Service was friendly. Don't expect super fast service as they are BUSY, but its a lovely relaxed atmosphere inside, and something to be enjoyed.
