Happy Wok - Erie

While delivery times can be a bit lengthy at times, I still consider this the best Chinese restaurant in Erie, PA. The Crab Rangoon is definitely one of the best I’ve ever tried! The food is consistently fresh. However, I recently noticed that my card was charged more than the total of my order. When I called to inquire, they explained that they automatically include a tip! I was taken aback—I've never encountered this before, especially since tips should reflect the level of service received. Moreover, I never authorized them to add a tip on my behalf! The food is fantastic, but the extra charges are frustrating. If this continues, I may just order from Ling Ling or another Chinese restaurant instead!

This restaurant offers the best shrimp dishes in town. The portion sizes are generous, and the shrimp is lightly breaded rather than the heavy pancake-style breading that many places use. I tried the coconut shrimp this time, and it was delicious. However, the house special fried rice had decent flavor, but it was lacking in shrimp and chicken, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.

I had a fantastic experience with the customer service, and the food was better than many other places I've tried. The portions were great. The orange chicken had a unique orange flavor, but I probably won’t order that again. The General Tso's chicken was decent, but not spicy at all. The vegetable lo mein was also good; it had a robust sauce that was tasty but felt a bit overwhelming. When I arrived to pick up my order, everything was ready and waiting for me. It was neatly packed, with extra sauce and utensils provided. The food stayed hot all the way home.

I'm pretty much a chinese food addict. I eat it upwards 3 times a week. I change it up and go to different places around town each time. I think this is the best one to order from in the city. They never disappoint. The vegetables are always fresh. They use the good flavored brown rice (as opposed to the yellow stuff most other places use). The sauces too! They use something in their flavors that I can't figure out that I haven't experienced/tasted at other restaurants. 5/5 stars. I've eaten at most if not all of the take out restautrants around. They get my vote for the best flavors and quality of food.

First time ordering from this establishment. Everything was perfect. Neatly packed and sealed cartons. Food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Chinese food and cuisine. Thank you for your great service.
