Federal Hill Smokehouse - Erie

I finally had the chance to try this place! The brisket was perfectly smoked; if you're unfamiliar with brisket, always opt for the moist cut, as it has more fat that melts into the meat. The ribs were excellent, and the mac and cheese we enjoyed was definitely not Kraft—it was well-seasoned. Personally, I didn't care for any of the sauce options, but honestly, the meat stood well on its own without them. It was definitely worth the wait to get there at last!

I enjoyed some delicious food at this restaurant. I ordered the ribs and lean brisket, accompanied by coleslaw and beans. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My family tried the pulled pork with mac and cheese. While my kids weren't big fans of the pulled pork, I think that's just typical kid behavior. My wife thought the pulled pork looked and tasted good. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return. The staff was also very friendly, and it was great to have off-street parking available.

They truly excel at what they do. I make it a point to visit every time I'm in town. The barbecue is exceptional and on a world-class level. The sauces are fantastic as well. Today, I had the cheesesteak, which came with two thick slices of beef brisket. As for parking, it's located to the right of the building if you're facing the entrance. There's not much street parking at that intersection, but it's absolutely worth it.
