The Third Place Restaurant and Cafe

I have visited this restaurant for coffee, breakfast, and lunch in the past, but this time a group of 12 of us went for dinner on Saturday night. It was a much better experience this time, as the service was excellent - friendly and professional. The menu was even better, with the addition of wood-fired pizzas that were all delicious. The pizzas had a nice, thin crust with plenty of flavor, though for $24, we expected more toppings. The steak was cooked to perfection, the pasta was good, and everyone was happy with their meals. We did consider dessert for the kids, but felt that $14 for ice cream was overpriced, especially for Epping. Overall, we were very happy with our experience.

Went with a friend for lunch midweek, after having been for coffee a few times before thought we'd try lunch, Good menu brekkie all day, tapas, main meals, although the pizzas which I've heard are so good were not on offer at all !! I chose the pulled lamb which came on a roll with capsicum, rocket, yogurt dressing it was ok , tasty lamb but a lot of bread which I wasn't expecting, it was basically a lamb roll, My friend chose the snitzel open sandwich it looked nice, the chicken was fresh. Service very friendly, they have open fires but have never seen them being used, it was quite cool, outside was sunny and much warmer, Think the atmosphere a bit strange hard to explain but wasn't 100% comfortable, we were the only table for quite awhile until a few other came for coffee. Will return at night or on the weekend when the pizzas are on offer.

Quality pizzas, non greasy, light, lovely bases with wonderful choices of topping. Artichokes, black olives, slices of Virginian ham, mozzarella cheese for the capriciosa, just lovely to eat. Margherita was just at wonderful with real tomatoes and fresh basil. We have been there a few times now, we will be regular customers. The Food quality of these pizzas are excellent. Plenty of parking out front, easy to get to, functions catered for, live music on some nights, what else can you ask for.

Lunched here with a group of friends just before Christmas, menu items were a bit pricey, but specials came with a glass of wine and although there were only 3 items on the specials board they were good choices.

Great venue for lunch. It was a freezing day and enjoyed the Warm fire place, great food and wine, no hurry. Staff very polite.
