Hoomiko Sushi - Engadine

My favorite place to visit on a Saturday night, the food is incredible! Always hot, always fresh, and always bursting with flavor. The ambiance is calm and romantic, with comfortable seating. The unique charm of the restaurant makes you feel like you are immersing yourself in their culture, and I adore that! The staff is fantastic, friendly, and accommodating. Every time we dine in or get takeout, they always include a lovely origami and expressions of gratitude. You must try the spring rolls! Thank you, Hoomiko!

We entered the place and were immediately alarmed at the sticky floor not a good sign these days. It was also very wartm inside and we had to ask them to put the air con on. We ordered the steamed dumplings for entree and they tasted like they were pre frozen and from a packet. They were small and tasteless (apart from the soy sauce I put on. They looked nothing like the picture in the menu. The menu btw, was rather used and didn't feel very clean. For mains we ordered sizzling beef which comes with rice and miso soup. We asked if we could replace the rice with wheat noodles and they said no. We then said that we would pay extra but again the answer was no. Not very customer centric at all. When the beef came out it was on a bed of bean sprouts which were burnt and the beef was in part burnt, dried up and tasteless. I ate mine because I was very hungry but my wife refused to eat it all. They apologised and didn't charge for one of the mains. I understand how tough it is for restaurants these days but based on what we were served up, it's enough to stop going out. We will not return to this restaurant

Absolutely love the food. We have been going there for years and it never disappoints. We strongly suggest the grilled salmon sushi, Hoomiko roll, salmon and sushi sashimi, and gyozas. Everything is fresh out of the kitchen. The owners and the staff are adorable as well. Cozy place, very casual and chilled.

We had lunch here. It was quiet, probably due to restrictions. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choices. Our meals were excellent

Hoomiko isn't a large restaurant but the food is fantastic. Great little place for lunch and a catch up.
