Elwood Bathers

We had a wonderful dinner at Elwood Bathers last Friday. Upon entering, we were welcomed by friendly staff, and we even caught a glimpse of the last few rays of sunset over the beach (in between the rain showers), which added to the lovely atmosphere. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable, making us feel comfortable and happy. The wine recommendation was excellent, and the food was of very high quality and absolutely delicious. We shared the large calamari, which was incredibly tasty with perfect seasoning. Next, we had the scotch fillet, cooked to perfection and beautifully garnished with zucchini flowers, which were amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with delightful food and excellent service, making our Valentine's Day memorable. This place is definitely worth a visit, and we will be returning!

Now, about the decor – I really appreciated the interior, which struck a lovely balance between a beachy vibe and elegance. As I sipped my Pimm's (which had a heavy dose of ginger ale), complimentary bread was served. For my main course, I opted for the lamb, which was a bit fatty for $38, and I wasn't a fan of the raw onion pieces in the eggplant relish. What truly stood out, however, was the stunning view of the sunset, which we enjoyed while indulging in the amazingly delicious lemon soufflé tart – a true masterpiece of pastry. If you’re after a captivating atmosphere, I highly recommend visiting this sophisticated beachfront gem, and be sure not to miss out on dessert!

The ambiance was wonderful, the staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. Located right on the beach, we enjoyed a stunning view of the sunset. However, on the night we visited (April 12), there was a group of parents who allowed their children to run around wildly, which was quite bothersome. Thankfully, the duty manager addressed the situation perfectly, politely asking the parents to keep their kids in check. Kudos to Elwood Bathers for their fantastic service!

Really good food and the location is great. However, it gets rather noisy so they need to put something on the ceiling so the voices don’t bounce off the walls.

I'm surprised the rating is so low on this place, because I had a lovely time here. The view is an absolute winner: it's literally on the beach, with sand and sea stretching out to eternity. An absolute treat. There were no scrambled or poached eggs on the menu, but the waiter kindly obliged when I asked for a serving (though they were quite pricey at $15). The coffee was great, and the service friendly and efficient. It's really hard to ask for anything more.
