My wife picked up a few breakfast sandwiches and a variety of salads for dinner later in the day. The breakfast sandwiches were fantastic! They were made with homemade cookies, eggs, cheese, peppers, and onions. The thoughtful lady even wrapped the tomatoes separately to prevent them from making the cookies soggy! As for the salads, we tried the tuna, egg, smoked salmon, and jalapeño pimento cheese. We were just passing through the city, but if we lived there, we would definitely make it a regular stop! The best cheeseburger in Ellijay! Yes, you might have to drive to Hwy 52 near BJ Reese Apple Orchard to find it, but I assure you it's worth the trip! This charming old country store is full of nostalgia and serves hand-dipped ice cream—something you don't see much anymore. It feels like a step back in time for the kids. The staff is genuinely cheerful, with Tina at the register, who is incredibly sweet. Here’s a fun little tidbit about the place: do you remember Jr. Samples from Hee Haw, the used car dealer who would say to call BR-549? His grandson actually used to own this quaint country store. Charming little country house with a great selection. Parking is convenient, and gas/diesel prices are reasonably average.

Crossings have been visiting a family for many years. Ryals and the team are really part of the community and its active support of veterans is very appreciated. Delicious burgers!

This place has basic provisions AND they are so accommodating and friendly!! We were just coming through for the weekend. Got eggs, milk, Gatorade, bread, homemade chicken salad, coffee, snacks... it worked out perfect.
