We have had everything on the menu and nothing disappoints! Highly recommend the mussels, branzino, scallops, tomatillo chicken, bread pudding, and churro sundae!
The food was great. It was really expensive. Took them 20 minutes to give us the check. (Should have just walked out) for myself and two other people. One drink each and a main course. $200 with tip. There is a different tavern place on the east side that's the same food but way better prices.
The lamb and skirt steak are amazing. The steak was just a bit sweet with the right amount of smokey. The red pepper chimichurri added some acid which set the dish apart. Great, great steak. Also you can never go wrong with lamb. To top it off, the churro bowl sundae was great! A hot, fresh churro in the shape of a bowl hugging cool vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauces... Chef's kiss.
I've been going to Park tavern occasionally for years now. The restaurant has established itself as a downtown El Paso staple, known for its high quality and delicious food. I was most impressed by the seafood options upon my most recent visit. Everything was cooked to perfection. The dessert menu is not to be overlooked as well. The pastry chef has a few aces up their sleeve. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit, recommending Park Tavern to others along the way.
This review is about the bread pudding. Their salads were eh. The branzjno and lamb were good. The server was nice. But the BREAD PUDDING WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. So crispy and decadent and flavorful and just damn
