Panaderia Que-Rika - El Chaltén

We stopped at this little bakery to get some empanadas. They weren't so great, but we were hungry and needed a quick snack before we took the bus. They warmed them for us what was nice. They had other baked goods that looked good. Food was reasonably expensive.

After we passed this bakery several times during our stay in El Chalt and observed its popularity, we decided to buy sandwiches and empanadas for our lunch at El Calafate Airport. I have to say this proved to be nothing extra special, so I'm not sure I can give him a high recommendation.

This place has awesome empanadas for being pre made. The caprese ones where super tasty. The pastries are very good as well, love the dulce de leche filled canoncito (n with a tilda).

We thought the carne empanadas were excellent, as well as the cheese biscuits and bread. The man at the counter was super friendly and kind too. Good spot to pick up some treats for the trails.

The empanadas are fine but there are better. You can get fresh bread and sandwiches made as well as medialunas but they were also average. Other better places for breakfast but fine in a pinch.
