Chiche Azucar la Leche - El Chaltén

We loved this bakery. Recommended by Fitz Roy Madsen, from the Madsen tour, the alfadores and cookies (and muffins and brownies) are incredible. We stopped in while on our way out of El Chalten and stocked up as if we would be going underground for 5 days. She uses only recycled items (bags, leche boxes) for packaging, and her shop is absolutely charming. I wish we had been able to pop in earlier in our El Chalten trip.

I think only South Africans will know that word ........means 'food for the road.' I didnt have a meal here but stocked up on healthy snacks for the long day hikes. Delisioso! this natural product store has a good vibe. Good coffee and shakes.

This place is nicely decorated and very ecologically-minded by recycling everything from empty egg cartons to old chocolate bar wrappers - two things that already merit a distinction! The lab brownies are unbelievable!! They are literally the best brownies I have ever eaten anywhere in the world! Keep up the good work!
