Instead, I found a Thai restaurant called Banana Leaf Thai Cuisine. So I decided to check it out. Since, I didn't have much time, I just ordered one of my favorite appetizers, chicken satay. The order was served with good size chicken skewers portion that came with a tiny side of cucumber salad. The chickens were surprisingly tender and not dry. Its tasty with just enough seasoning. As for the cucumber salad, it was fresh and crunchy, even though I'm not a big fan of cucumber except in Gin and Tonic. Overall, it was a quick first visit, but impressed and left wanting some more. So I'm definitely going back again to explore other items in the near future. Note: Dine in only with proof of vaccination card.
This place is great!! We did takeout for dinner and they didn't disappoint. Banana Leaf is in the same shopping area as NUG, the new dispensary. Parking is easy. The pad thai, pad seeyew, and the beef green curry were delicious. Don't skip on their signature steamed sticky rice, which is perfectly balanced in flavor and texture and of COURSE is wrapped in a banana leaf. For dessert, the mango sticky rice is a no brainer. When you order, their time estimates are on the dot (they know their kitchen).
The food here is always delicious. Everyone I interacted with was so nice. One of my favorite places to get Tom Kha!
