Rubio's Coastal Grill - El Cajon

I have always had some nostalgia for Rubios but the original tacos seem to not have the quality they used to. Still pretty good though.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is typical corporate, fast food so meh. I'm probably not the best person to ask as i don't typically eat fish but I had the chicken street tacos which was bland and just okay. Everything else looks and smells fresh, including the salsa bar so I'm sure it's fine just not to my liking. I'd say don't listen to me and try them out. Definitely a different take on tacos being a coastal grill and different than most things in the area.

I’ve been at this location several times and I’ve seen the same employee looking stoned. I think management should be on top of what their employees are doing. She has pink hair and is always at the register. Don’t get me wrong , the food is great but it looks highly unprofessional.

Great selection of Baja California style delicious food. Their lobster bowl is a must try! Daily Agua fresca and sweet teas are refreshing. Plenty of kid friendly choices in main menu and kids menu.Kid-friendliness: Many Kid friendly options to choose from.
