Pancho's Mexican - El Cajon

The shrimp fajitas here are exceptional, featuring seven jumbo shrimp. The restaurant has a genuine Mexican ambiance that adds to the experience.

The chips and salsa were delicious! The chili relleno was fantastic, and the margaritas were wonderful.

The restaurant is okay and a good option if you're hungry and looking for a satisfying meal. However, there's room for improvement with the chips and salsa, and the rice and beans come off as quite basic. Overall, it feels quite generic.

Ordered a chicken quesadilla appetizer and a shredded beef chimichanga. The size of the onions in the quesadilla was unbelievable and difficult to fit into your mouth and the chicken tasted like canned. As for the chimichanga, it also had overly large chunks of onions and tomatoes and had 1 piece of meat about the size of a finger in it. didn't eat all of either, so disappointed. Usually eat here once a week or so but not so sure now.

I’ve been wanting to go for a long time, but never did until today. The food and service were great. My family and I will be back.
