South Africans or the rainbow nation have a large and diverse food culture. there are 9 official bantu languages plus English and African. eating is a melting pot of Dutch, French, Indian and Malaysian influences. in South Africa there are three different cooks. the first is afrikaans cooking, which is very influenced by the Dutch settlers who were joined by the French huguenots. African foods usually consist of red meat cooked on the braai (berewors, kebabs, steaks, paps,) potatoes and/or rice and vegetables. desserts are rusks, milktart and koeksister.

Delicious. I recommend the veggie options, simple dishes executed delicious, dessert was very decadent while the tapas were healthy. I had never really haggis, but the Veggie version was delicious! great selection of beer. beautiful decor and very welcoming owners.

I ordered two glasses of Chenin Blanc (although we didn't need it) and we got on with ordering our tapas.
