This restaurant serves 4 types of Turkish mezzenplatte. a vegan, a veggie, a meat based and a dips based (which may have been veggie friendly, may not quite remember.) all mezzenplatte come with a basket of pitta. kudos for a delicious vegan option. I wrote a picture of what I had. 2 falafels, 2 dolmades, artichokes, hummus, warm green beans in tomato sauce and salate. the food was filled and delicious. the stick for me was the price at £14 per plate, it does not feel worth that for such basic foods. if it were half the price, I would highly recommend.
Beautiful restaurant that she greets with the smell of smokers, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly staff, the vegan. we sat at the window cabin, which was fed with cushions and very comfortable. we ordered a bundle of mezes and our favorit was the fasulye that was a delicate green bean bowl that didn't need a naan to go with it. the ezme was also good as the humus. her mincetee was also delicious. we were too constipated for dessert!
I just ate. I asked the waitress what was vegan friendly and the waitress talked me through the menu. There was nothing she didn't say vegan, that wouldn't have appeared on the first look at the menu. so I had a little to choose. the menu and pricing based on the customer chooses a plate based on the number of melz dishes in the plate, it was £12.95 for the 3 Melz plate and 15.95 for the 5 Melz plate. I had the 5 mezzenplatte. I have to say it was delicious. each of the beats was not excessive, so I am glad that I went for the 5 because the 3 I don't think would have been enough. there is broth and a small salate. there is also a special all they can eat party tablet on I think was £21.95 delicious as that was eating, it felt a little on the expensive side. 10% was added to the register card for the mezze (not for the drinks that while extra, did not seem to cause the service fee.) So if they observe a tight budget, there are defo more economical alternatives elsewhere food. if they are looking to put some alcohol away, maybe they could save some money by that place byob. decor and atmo were completely in order as the demon was the waitress. If I were to eat with someone who refused to go to a whole Vego restaurant, I would like to eat here again no problem at all. otherwise it would be one of the nearby Vego restaurants in edinburgh for me. if this place was all vego, I would disarm it more.
I came here with some friends and had some amazing vegan meze around 1/3 of the options on the menu were vegan and all the ones which I tried were amazing, especially the acili! The decor and atmosphere is wonderful, cosy and beautifully decorated, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. They are happy for people to bring their own alcohol, and I highly recommend trying their lovely teas too. Updated from previous review on Tuesday January 22, 2013
