The Blythe Inn - East Staffordshire

I was looking forward to attending an 80s weekend, but unfortunately the restaurant has closed down after I paid a deposit. I would advise against booking through them. Avoid at all costs!

Located just 15 minutes north of Blithfield Reservoir and 10 minutes south of Uttoxeter, this restaurant hosts one of the best Bike Nights in the Midlands. Every Tuesday evening from Spring to Autumn, hundreds of friendly bikers gather in the large hard car park to enjoy good food, tea, and coffee (don't forget to donate some spare change for charity). The location also boasts fantastic Staffordshire roads to access it from Tamworth, with a scenic 30-minute drive north through Elford, Alrewas, Kings Bromley, and Abbots Bromley.

I visited the restaurant's website to check my reservations, but it seems to have been taken down and they are not responding to phone calls. It looks like the restaurant has closed down. I had booked multiple camping weekends and paid deposits for them.

Wouldn't go again, the food generally was luke warm and the potatoes were hard. Beer was OK and service was friendly. But in the age of drink driving this is too far for us and sadly we won't drive there again for the food. Shame really.

Stopped for the weekend on the Pitch and food package. Food was excellent especially the full English breakfast served by Lana who was so friendly and helpful. Local band played on Saturday night, good atmosphere and locals were very friendly.
