We stopped by for a drink and everything was fine, but the landlady seemed to be a bit tipsy. There was no hot water in the bathrooms, which was not ideal. Some men came in and ordered drinks without any issue, but then there was a sudden outburst. The landlady began yelling at one of the men for no apparent reason, causing me to become extremely upset due to my social anxiety. I had to leave because I was shaking and felt sick. This is not a recommended place to visit. The landlady should handle situations more professionally, as there are better ways to address customers. If you don't mind being yelled at for no reason, then by all means visit this establishment. However, if you're looking for a peaceful drink, I suggest going elsewhere.

Living in a very community central place, I know how newbies can take a while to be excepted at the local pub, but WOW. The bar lady was so lovely and everyone welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we catered for, for every need. Ended up having a lovely late night chat with everyone there over a pint! Massive massive thank you to the lovely lady behind the bar, I hope you enjoy retirement, you're an absolute star

This welcoming pub is on my list to visit many more times. The friendly locals and their dogs make for a pleasant atmosphere. The beer is well kept and the landlady is knowledgeable in her role.

Went in to meet a friend.....big mistake! The staff are very unfriendly, in fact they are rude! Made to feel uncomfortable and left after one drink! Obviously these people do not know they are in the hospitality business. I suggest they go on some customer care training....at the very least! Such a shame as the pub is in a nice position but I do not go out to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

The pub is very old and musty, with cobwebs and hundreds of dead flies in the toilets. The drinks are overpriced and the atmosphere lacks warmth. There is a dirty fish tank with two neglected fish, one of which appeared to be very stressed and unwell. This neglect of animal welfare is disturbing and not something you want to witness while enjoying a drink.
