88 Royal Cafe now under new management and the Vietnamese Food is really good!! Although this is only a lunch deli but they do serve up a few classic Vietnamese dishes.... At the moment on menu they have 1. Com Tam( broken rice with pork chop ) 2. Pho 3. Bun Bo Hue 4.Bo Kho 5.Bun Thit Noung ( pork chop with rice vermicelli) 6.Bun Cha Gio & 7.Special Vietnamese Vegetable Curry & Rice ... Oh nearly forgot The Classic Vietnamese Banh Mi Thit!! So far I had tried the Com Tam & Pho and Vietnamese Ice Coffee... All very good and special mention especially the Pho was truly authentic!!! Will definitely come back...
A gem in East Perth- A review by Food Fer-natic I would say they serve the most authentic Banh mi that you can get in Perth. Simple but fresh and tasty. The meat in their banh mi were also made fresh rather than bought from stall. Pair it up with their vietnamese ice coffee, the best combination to enjoy a well deserved lunch. You may want to order them through phone as they can get really busy at lunch time. It will take them a while to make banh mi as they want to provide the freshest bread roll for customers but I guarantee you it's worth your wait! If you fancy a big lunch, I would recommend their Pho and other summer noodle dishes. The broth for Pho is flavourful and you can easily taste the richness from the beef bones. The noodles were also cooked al dente. Their cold noodle salads are a great option for a really hot summer day, refreshing and flavoursome. Don't let the size of this deli fool you. Thought I give them a thumbs up. The new owners bought over this run down place a couple of months ago and had worked extremely hard to spruced up the place and menu. Enjoyed Pho for breakfast (from their lunch menu) but they were very obliging when I ask if its on this early. They told me about bad reviews the ex-owners had on Urbanspoon so told them I'll write a review so people will know that its under NEW MANAGEMENT..... Should have taken a photo....haha not much of a selfie person.
