Boyd's Steakhouse - East Peoria

We both got the filet. My fiancé ordered hers medium well and I ordered mine medium. Our server asked if my fiancé wanted hers butterflied to which she said no. Upon getting our steaks my fiancé’s was butterflied and even with the mistake the cook on the steak was medium to medium rare, you could also clearly see they only seared one side of her steak. My filet was medium for two bites on one end, the rest was past rare to the point of it being raw and blueing. The steaks also lacked seasoning. I had to douse mine in salt just to get some flavor for those two bites I did get of mine. I also ordered the al gratin potatoes as a side and my potatoes were not even close to being cooked. Overall I would pass if you’re used to excellent steak houses like Morton’s, Wildfire etc. I spent the same amount of money here as I would have at those and have never once had a bad meal at either. Not to mention the ambience is severely lacking. Not a romantic date night spot by any means

Our first experience with Boyd's Steakhouse was a very pleasant one! We sat at their bar and had a cocktail while waiting for our table and the bartender was very personable, as were the other guests at the bar. The hostess sat us at a booth as we had requested, and it was quiet and furthered the ambiance of the entire restaurant. Our waitress was very good: Pleasant, helpful, attentive and a joy to know. The entrees Ribeye and Salmon were done to perfection and ready when we were! We would definitely recommend Boyd's to friends who were looking for a great dining experience at an upscale venue in E. Peoria

Very good steaks. Salad was good but Waiter was good and friendly. Will go again
