Zenith Brasserie & Bar - East Geelong

Had the chicken breast with chats and vegetables, the chats and the vegetables where nice, but the chicken breast was more like half a chicken breast !

As we were staying at Rydges we went down to the bar for some drinks during happy hour (5pm to 7pm). The prices were ok with a relaxed atmosphere. We did not eat at the restaurant but noticed it was very quiet, might have just been because it was a Saturday night.

I chose 4 items off the menu.The calamari was lovely and soft. The garlic dipping sauce was chunky and intense. Value for money. The pork entree was not very nice, accompanying sauce too rich and carrots so tough. Not worth the money. The side salad was very nice and a generous serving. The extra crunchy chips were just that. The service was exceptional at the start though a more accurate explanation of serving sizeswould have been nice.and then no one came to see if the meal was ok or if I wanted another drink.

Waited 20 mins for a drink order to be taken by waitress,restaurant wasn't overly busy,but noticed other table got drinks served to them as they arrived after us !! Saw 3 staff in attendance.Worst quality steak ever,mushroom sauce was very tasteless,veg's came out cold on separate bowl ,but chats were nice and hot ! $36 for steak !! Oh veg's and chats came out before our steaks.... Seriously hire a new chef and train your staff professionally to what service should be about ......

I had a rump steak at hotel. Food was so so. A little improvement will be bring out the food piping hot instead of letting the food sit.
