Our first time here and when we walked in, there was an older couple behind us in a booth complaining and said to us.... this is worse service ever, you better go now we blew it off and our guests were running late so we waited and the waitress was super friendly asking what we wanted and I had the best margarita (watermelon) I DO NOT like margaritas, but y 'all made me a wonderful one. We will be back! Thank you! Also we paid for our friends and us and it was not that expensive it was good pricing and for the food you get your money 's worth!;
We came to eat on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. When we walked in we were not greeted by a server but by a sign that said “short staffed.” We were sat next to the restrooms every time the restrooms doors would opened the most disgusting smell would come out. The women’s restroom had 3 stalls; one was out of order, one was flooded with human waste would not flush the only one that worked had the toilet paper roll sitting on the floor. Our table had barely been cleaned up and the floor was unswept. We waited for the food for over an hour for a family of 8. We were patient since we knew they were short staffed but thats still a long wait. The food was okay, not awful, thankfully but not the quality we usually experience at other of the same restaurants, especially since this specific Jalisco was a little more overpriced that others. Outside people had littered in order to leave food for the stray cats outside which is stupid of them, not the restaurants fault but I’d highly discourage that with a sign or something. The server was nice but thats about the only good thing here. We will not be returning. Hope you can hire more staff and fix the restrooms.
First, our family has been eating at this restaurant since our boys were in kindergarten. Now grown, my youngest son was in town and wanted to have some lunch. He ordered his usual cheese enchiladas. As soon as the server put the plate down he noticed that the sauce was different. After a few bites he couldn't eat anymore because of the flavor. My chalupas tasted off also. They must have changed the recipe or dropped the Jalisco style of cooking. After all those years, I doubt we'll be going back.
Wow I am impressed. The drive thru service was good and the food was great! Price was awesome as well, I cannot complain. We ordered the beef and onion and pepper platter, and the barbacoa breakfast platter. It wasn’t until after we ordered I realized we could order a whole pound of barbacoa for $12. We came from Houston to pickup some furniture and decided to try the local food here and chose this Jalisco’s. Tell me why there’s like 5 Jaliscos in the area and none of them seem related, haha.
Dining at Taqueria Jalisco has become a family tradition every time we vacation in the Corpus Christi area. There are lots of amazing items on the menu, and we've tried many of them. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would most definitely be their molcajete. This flaming hot stone bowl is jammed packed full of grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, onions and peppers, and a very delicious sauce. You also get your choice of corn or flour tortillas and a plate with rice, beans, lettuce, and fresh made pico. This prices are very reasonable for the size portions they serve. Hard to beat such a great value for great food and great service. Parking: Parking is free and easily accessible right off of the highway. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu. We always see other families dining here with kids of all ages.
