The Honu Restaurant And Tiki Bar

We had a nice day at night, remembering hawaii! we sat outside and listened to the live musician. the drink I had was probably the best drink I ever had. it was spicy and sweet and asked me to have another! spicy kokosnusskolada. the food was good and the service was excellent. a very hip and cool place.

A friend and I visited this restaurant on Saturday and it was a pleasant surprise. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and it exceeded my expectations. The pu pu platter was delicious, with tasty bark, ribs, and rolls, along with a great mai tai. It reminded us of classic tiki spots from our youth, like Bob Lee's Islander in Boston's Chinatown and Bob Loo's in Salem, NH. The food was fantastic, and a pu pu platter with sticky rice was plenty for two people. I hope they consider adding a Huli-Huli chicken and kalua pork double stack to the lunch menu. We sat outside at the tiki bar but went inside to admire the decor and grab a Tiki cup. I look forward to the rum-sipping bar opening soon. My only complaint is that it's an 80-minute drive from home, but luckily my friend in Palm Harbor has a spare room. Can't wait to return! #RLTW

Wow. I can't believe we waited so long to try this place. My wife and I were both amazed. It is clear from the moment you sit down that the owners have put a lot of effort into making this a warm, welcoming establishment, and they have maintained it that way for years. The restaurant is spotless. From our delightful drinks to the fresh pineapple cake we had for dessert, this place tells a story through its cuisine. As we left the patio, I felt like we had just returned from a trip to the islands. The drinks certainly added to this feeling. This restaurant has become one of our favorites, and we will definitely be returning!

We celebrated a special occasion at this restaurant and were impressed by the outstanding service from our server, who was not only incredibly funny but also very friendly. The dishes were bursting with flavor, so much so that we couldn't help but eat very little and end up taking the rest home. The outdoor seating area had a cool Hawaii vibe, and inside, the atmosphere felt cozy with a hidden bar adding to the overall charm of the place.

Awesome little spot in downtown dunedin, upon arriving we were lucky to find parking in their little lot the is only about ten spots, but plenty of parking nearby. For seating outside/outback the wait time was about thirty minutes, but while waiting you can grab a drink and lounge near the front. Once seated the staff was attentive and friendly and the food/drinks were great! There was live music with added to the ambiance that is all around. Definitely an awesome ma/pa place and will be back!!
